Joshua Tree on Film

Film has been something i’ve been experimenting with lately. As a photographer i’m always open to expand my knowledge in this field which includes trying new things. Shooting with 35mm film is something I only started about a month ago, and if i’m being honest…i’ve been bitten by the film bug.

I’ve noticed that film has been gaining way more popularity lately, and the format is thriving in what I what call this new film renaissance, but more about that on that in my next blog which will be about my first experience with shooting film. (These photos were taken on my second film roll since I started)

In my previous blog post I talked about taking astrophotography at Joshua Tree. Setting out to see the stars was the main goal however, during the day I was also using my Pentax K1000 alongside my Canon EOS RP, getting both digital and film shots.

The film stock I used in these photos was FujiFilm Superia X-TRA 400. The park with its many beautiful landscapes of rock formations and Joshua Trees make for stunning photos with immaculate desert vibes.
